This is another one of those cars that, if I found one at a reasonable price and in reasonable condition, I’d get it. Just because of what it is/was.
Non-car folks wouldn’t get it one bit. To them I say: “MERCEDES WITH A PROPER MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND RACE PEDIGREE.” To which they respond: “….” and “???” and “I don’t care at all”
